What We Are
We strongly believe that NITYAM Foundation will bring out the inherent power of India’s oppressed and unprivileged section with creative activities and use it for their development and inspire others.
We are committed and working in the following areas.
1. Youth empowerment and skillful education.
2. Woman empowerment, child rights, and development.
3. Sustainable agriculture environment and climate protection.
4. Water resource management and River rejuvenation.
5. Skill and entrepreneurship development.
6. Financial Literacy.
7. Integrated rural-urban (slum areas) development and livelihood.
8. Handicraft.
9. Renewable energy.
10. Fight against unjust social customs.
The execution of different programs provides the organization with useful entry points that enable it to work with its target groups to develop its institutional capacity. This includes their ability to make wise decisions, mobilize resources, allocate responsibilities, undertake action, and resolve operational problems. However, the aim is also long-term— by assisting the target groups to develop and strengthen their institutional capacity. It is hoped that they will be able to tackle other developmental issues, largely on their own, after the organization’s withdrawal from the local area. This, therefore, directly fosters community empowerment and self-reliance, i.e., the ability of the target groups to independently take effective action to secure their long-term well-being.
With its presence in over 20 districts across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, NITYAM ‘s focus area ranges by a wide spectrum from youth training and skill development, woman’s empowerment by self-help groups, child rights protection and development, water resource management, renewable energy adaption, and promotion keeping in India’s strategic vision for ‘Amrut Kala’ in mind. This approach allows NITYAM reach more people in need and provides us the opportunity to make a difference with our work in their lives.
Outreach
The organization directly reaches people belonging to socially excluded groups, including Dalits, Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes, women, working children, the landless, small and marginalized farmers (including agricultural laborers and families defined as Below the Poverty Line), artisans (especially those belonging to the socially disadvantaged groups such as the nomads), and de-notified tribes with poor access to the information, technology, education, health, and voice in society.
NITYAM always works to strengthen its relationships and partnerships with various partners/organizations, media, and other stakeholders at the state, national and international levels. NITYAM has a presence in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and an outreach to 1200 villages.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”2458,2457,2456,2455,2454,2453,2452,2450,2448,2443,2442,2441,2440,2439,2438,2437,2436,2435,2433,2432,2430,2429,2428,2427,2279,2244,2262,2272,2259″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
